about the town. I love slices of pizza outside on Broad Street, I think
I’ve taste-tested every beer on tap at Stillwater and I dance like a
maniac at the Soul Bar every ’80s night. Here’s my problem: I feel like
everyone at all of these places and more is always staring at and
talking about my tiny breasts. I swear to heaven that God totally
forgot about me when I hit puberty and I often wonder if guys aren’t
interested in me because of it. I’ve read your columns before and I
remember you talking about how breasts are the most talked about part
of the human body. Should I buy myself a pair of bigger and better
boobs? — Tiny Dear Tiny: I absolutely said that boobs are the most talked about part of the body (thanks for reading) — and I still agree with that statement. However, I never said that they were getting so much attention just because of their size. Here’s the thing about fake boobs. They don’t feel real and, for the most part, they don’t look real. Everybody is going to know they are not real. Which is fine. People have fake lips and fake butts and pinched-up eyes everywhere you turn these days. The thing that you have to decide is whether or not you will feel comfortable with people knowing they are not real and, in turn, talking about that. It sounds like you are self-conscious about your body already and I’m not so sure that trading small breasts for large ones will change that. I seriously doubt that you have breasts that God forgot about and I also doubt that people are talking about their size everywhere you go. My suggestion to you is to figure out what’s going to make you comfortable. If a few added cup sizes are going to help you stop worrying the people at every bar might be pointing or talking about you, then go for it. But if adding to your chest is just going to make you worry about people discussing the large or possibly bought nature or your breasts, then it’s not worth the money. Figure out what “you” you will like the best, small chest or large, then figure out how to be confident wherever you go and stop letting what other people say bother you. As I’ve said, boobs are talked about a lot. But as far as I can remember, all shapes and sizes are equally loved. Especially by men! |
